WILLIAMS BAY--Jennifer Moore was a festival rookie last fall, and that’s a scary proposition for those who attend this year’s Boo in the Bay activities Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and Oct. 27.

Moore was named director of the Williams Bay Recreation Department about this time last year. And although an estimated 400 people participated in last year’s Halloween-themed festivities, Moore said things would be bigger and better -- and hopefully spookier.

Boo in the Bay will feature events at the Lions Fieldhouse and across Wisconsin Highway 67 at Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy, where the real ghouls and goblins will be hanging out.

“Last year was a success because we have amazing volunteers who had been doing this for a while helping me run this thing,” Moore said. “Last year we had more than 400 people attend, but it was hard to gauge because people were just going out onto the trails so this time everybody has to check in and register at the field house, which is event headquarters. So things will be more organized and safer that way.”
