— The Four Seasons Chorus is looking for new members. The chorus was started three years ago. Singers from across the Walworth County area to prepare a variety of music. Concerts are held in the spring and fall.

There is no fee to participate and no tryouts. The only prerequisites are a love of music, some musical ability and the desire to learn.

The concerts are free to the public, however, because local food pantries are in desperate need of donations, the chorus has decided to put its efforts toward helping where they can.

People attending the concerts are asked to bring nonperishable items or monetary donations for the food pantries.

“Our name, the Four Seasons Community Chorus, chosen for its year-round activity, has taken on new meaning due to this crisis,” said Rachel Bergerson, director of the chorus. “Hunger is a year-round issue for many and they rely on our generosity. We are trying to increase people’s awareness of this fact and offer opportunities for them to be a part of the solution.”

The chorus is beginning its fall season of singing. Rehearsals are held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evenings, at Faith Lutheran Church, 420 Read St. in Walworth.

An Autumn/Halloween concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 5, also at Faith Lutheran.

The chorus already has another community appearance set -- it will sing for the residents of Walnut Grove Retirement Center, west of Lake Geneva, on Oct. 27. The chorus is available to perform at other venues as well.

For more information on joining the chorus or to request a performance for your business or group, contact Bergerson at (262) 812-3786 or via email at rachelrita22@gmail.com.
