Fontana Police holding 'Operation Feed the Need'
FONTANA The Fontana Police Department is holding its annual food drive to fill local food pantries and help families in need.
Drop off donations of either food or cash at the police department, located at 185 Douglas St., Fontana. Village residents or people who work in Fontana can call (262) 275-2275 to have an officer will stop by to collect donations. A receipt will be issued for any cash donations if requested. Donations should be made by December 20th.
Area food pantries have asked for (non-expired) items, including flour, pancake mix, canned fruit, canned vegetables, spaghetti and sauce, soup, jelly, peanut butter, sugar, syrup, muffin mix, cooking oil, instant pudding or gelatin mixes, and boxes of Hamburger Helper or Tuna Helper.
