Holiday tours of governor's residence slated
MADISON Holiday tour schedule for the governor's residence will be held next month. Tours provide visitors with a view of the main rooms on the first floor and a brief description of the decorations, including six uniquely decorated Christmas trees.
The 2012 schedule is:
Wednesday, December 5: Noon to 2 p.m.
Thursday, December 6: Noon to 2 p.m.
Saturday, December 8: 10 a.m. to noon.
Wednesday, December 12: Noon to 2 p.m.
Thursday, December 13: Noon to 2 p.m.
Saturday, December 15: Noon to 2 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to Second Harvest Foodbank, which works on behalf of food pantries, shelters, meal sites and other hunger-relief programs in 16 southwestern Wisconsin counties.
There is no charge for admission. Groups of 20 or more are required to make a reservation by calling 608-246-5501.
The executive residence is located at 99 Cambridge Road on Madison’s northeast side in the Village of Maple Bluff. Get driving directions to the executive residence.
The building is handicapped accessible.
