Young Auditorium hosts Chinese troupe

WHITEWATER For an audience interested in a night of awe-inspiring feats, beautiful costumes, and amazing acrobatics, this is a performance not to miss. The award-winning, talented artists of the Golden Dragon Acrobats leap onto the Young Auditorium stage Nov. 15.
They will perform traditional acrobatics from 25 centuries ago venturing back to ancient Chinese traditions. Discover art and culture firsthand in this wildly fun night of dance and celebration.
Today, acrobatics has served the important role of becoming part of the cultural exchange between China and other western nations. Acrobatic art clearly portrays the hard work, endurance and courage emphasized among the Chinese culture. The Golden Dragon Acrobats represent the best of a time-honored tradition, and are recognized throughout the United States and abroad as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company of today.
Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang combine acrobatics, dance, costumes and music to present this spectacular show.
Lien Chi Chang established Chinese Dragon Acrobats in 1967. Since then, they have inspired audiences of all ages in countless performances in different nations. Danny Chang apprenticed for the Chinese Dragon Acrobats for 17 years.
