— Four teen boys are accused of restraining two adults and two children in a home in the 900 block of Marshall Street in Lake Geneva, according to a news release from the Lake Geneva Police Department.

Police referred the boys to juvenile authorities on charges of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon, false imprisonment and burglary, Lake Geneva Police Chief Michael Rasmussen said.

The boys were taken into secure custody, Rasmussen said. State statutes prevent officials from saying whether the boys remain in custody, Walworth County Deputy Director of Human Services David Thompson said late Thursday.

A woman and two small children fled the home to a nearby gas station and called police at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. She told police that multiple people entered her home and restrained her, according to the news release.

Police found another adult restrained in the home, according to the release.

Police took into custody four males whose ages are between 13 and 16. Police think the incident was isolated and that all the people responsible are in custody, according to the release.

The incident remains under investigation.
