Arrests
-- LOUISE M. STOUDT, 23, of 480 N. Pearl St., Janesville, at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Stoudt was charged with abuse of children causing bodily harm and disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to a disturbance at her home. Stoudt told officers she "bit and choked" a child recently in Traxler Park, and the 16-year-old male victim confirmed the account.
-- KRISTY L. TAYLOR, 22, of 2209 N. Pontiac Drive, Janesville, at 9:12 a.m. Monday at home on warrants accusing her of failing to appear in court on charges of forgery and theft.
-- LUIS R. GARCIA II, 38, of 4520 N. Newville Road, Janesville, at 5:15 p.m. Monday at the Rock County Sheriff's Office, Janesville, on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on charges of fifth-offense intoxicated driving and operating after revocation.
-- SHAWN J. CONSIDINE, 19, of 311 S. Main St., Janesville, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at home on a charge of possession with intent to deliver hydrocodone tablets and delivery of marijuana.
Intoxicated driving arrests
-- DUANE M. PHILLIPS, 29, of 2307 N. Cainville Road, Evansville, after a traffic accident at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 on West County A just west of Highway Old 92 Road, town of Magnolia. The vehicle Phillips was driving left the road, crashed into a ditch, flipped over and came to rest in a cornfield. Phillips was admitted to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, and released Saturday. A passenger, Jeremy S. Hogenmiller, 19, of 2307 N. Cainville Road, Evansville, was treated and released. No information from the hospital was available about Justin A. Lake, 15, of 2307 N. Cainville Road, because he is a minor. Phillips was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, causing injury while intoxicated and causing injury while operating intoxicated to a passenger under 16 and operating without a valid license. The intoxicated driving arrest was listed as Phillips' second.
-- CHRISTINE A. GAREY, 43, of 42 S. Fremont St., Janesville, at 1:54 a.m. Tuesday at Fremont and Milwaukee streets.
-- SUSAN K. SLATTER, 66, of 432 Harding St., Janesville, at 6:16 a.m. Wednesday at Mineral Point and Willard avenues, Janesville. Slatter also was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

-- BURGLARY to a home in the 1600 block of Royal Oaks Drive, Janesville, sometime during the day Tuesday. Jewelry valued at more than $8,000 and a flat-screen TV valued at $500 were reported taken.
Fire calls
-- DETACHED GARAGE FIRE at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday at 333 S. Randall Ave., Janesville. Personal property stored in bins burned inside the structure, which was not damaged. The residence is unoccupied. The fire is considered to be suspicious and is under investigation by the Janesville Police Department.
-- ATTIC FIRE at 7:29 a.m. Wednesday at a home at 1224 Bouchard Ave., Janesville, and again around 11:30 a.m. The homeowner suspected an electrical fire started in insulation in the attic and rekindled later in the morning. The fire resulted in about $40,000 in property and structure damage. The Red Cross was assisting a resident displaced by the fire.
Charged
-- SETH A. GARDNER, 37, of 3611 S. Read Road, Janesville, with disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping. He is accused of punching a bouncer and calling an officer a derogatory name at a downtown Janesville bar Sunday.
-- ELISEO S. NARANJO, 35, of 449 Parker Drive, Janesville, with fraudulent use of a credit card. He is accused of cashing someone else's tax refund in February in Janesville.
-- THOMAS P. STEVENS, 21, Kenosha, with burglary and theft. He is accused of stealing compound bows from a garage on Sept. 14 in the 16000 block of West Lilac Lane in the town of Magnolia.
