'Operation Trick or Treat' results in six arrests, two warrants of sex offenders
WALWORTH COUNTY Six registered sex offenders living in Walworth County were arrested for violating their supervision during an "Operation Trick or Treat" sweep by members of local law enforcement agencies, according to a release by the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.
The compliance enforcement program, in its fourth year of operation, was conducted on Sunday, October 28 and Wednesday, Oct. 31 by the Walworth County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Registry Team and probation and parole agents. Assisting them were members of police departments from Whitewater, Elkhorn, the town of Bloomfield, the city of Lake Geneva and the village of Darien.
Officers and probation and parole agents went to the homes of 114 known registered sex offenders on active supervision through the Department of Corrections who are living in Walworth County.
Six subjects on active supervision were found to be in violation of supervision and were immediately arrested and confined in the Walworth County Jail. Two additional alleged violators now have warrants for their arrests, which will bring the total to eight violators.
The six men arrested are: Richard L. Burge, 25, of Lake Geneva; Christopher McFadd, 26, Lake Geneva; Brian Chapman, 28, town of Geneva; James Esposito, 56, town of Delavan; Christopher L Wegner, 29, Delavan; and Zachary A Ruisch, 28, town of Troy.
