Albion enjoys hit parade

The defending Southeast Section champion Albion Tigers produced 21 hits Sunday in a 9-3 romp over McFarland in Home Talent baseball.

Eleven Tigers combined to hit three doubles and 18 singles.

The Tigers are 2-0 overall.

Albion starting pitcher Josh Eastman allowed five hits and notched seven strikeouts in seven innings for the win.

Eastman had four hits, Casey Schmeling, Ben Everson and Aaron Laskowski had three hits apiece for Albion.

-- Orfordville 6, Evansville 1—The Jays took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but the Orioles scored three times in the fourth and sixth innings for the final outcome.

Orfordville starting pitcher Joe Lange posted 17 strikeouts to keep Evansville in check.
