LAKE GENEVA--Do you have a story about the former Playboy Club in Lake Geneva? Brian Peters of St. Louis has begun work on a two-year project to write a dedicated historical picture book about the life and times of the old Playboy Club.

The idea for the book was spurred by Peters’ stays at the Grand Geneva—the site of the former club--for work-related conferences over the last four years.

“I fell in love with the charm and the architectural qualities of the facility and building,” he wrote via email. “I really want to capture what it was like working there at the time. I’m also trying to identify and contact the builders, general contractors or architects that actually built the facility.”

Peters has talked to some staff members at the Grand Geneva about its storied past.

“I love hearing the sort-of stories from folks that presently work (there), but there is no ‘one-place’ that captures its historical ambiance, and that is the reasoning of really writing this book,” he said.

Besides construction crew members, Peters wants to hear stories from past Playboy Club employees, staff—including bunnies--and others involved with the club.

Peters also is interested in receiving club pictures for his book. People who would like to participate can contact Peters at (314) 283-1842 or email him at ohbp2002@yahoo.com.
