Heat prompts cancellation of Whitewater concert

— Organizers of the Savory Sounds Concert in Whitewater are rescheduling tomorrow's (Thursday) event featuring Steve Meisner, due to the expected extreme heat.

Steve Meisner and Friends will play polka favorites on Aug. 2.

The dates for the rest of the shows in the concert series will be: July 12, Dirty Bucket Band, blue grass and other folk styles; July 19, UW-Whitewater Faculty Brass Quintet; and July 26, Jay Craggs and friends, jazz.

All concerts will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the Cultural Arts Center, 402 W. Main St., Whitewater.
