— Wisconsin’s Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has launched a Facebook page for the Bureau of Consumer Protection at http://www.facebook.com/wiconsumer.

The page will provide Wisconsin consumers with the latest news on product safety, scams, identify theft, civil forfeitures and more.

Updates on situations such as emerging scams will be posted on the page, giving consumers a chance to share experiences that might alert others to similar scams.

The DATCP will still require Wisconsin consumers to file formal written complaints if they have a grievance against a company.

For additional information or details, contact Jerad Albracht, communications specialist of the Division of Trade and Consumer Protection at (608) 224-5007 or jerad.albracht@wisconsin.gov
