Business ideas could net $5K in Rock/Walworth FastPitch competition

— Passionate entrepreneurs, including both high school and college students, in all phases of business—from startup, pre-startup or idea stage—are invited to pitch their best ideas for the Rock/Walworth County FastPitch Competition. Winners will receive money in startup funds: $5,000 for the best pitch and $2,500 for the best student pitch.

The entry deadline for pitches is June 29. The three-minute initial presentations, which are open to the public, will take place Wed., Aug. 8 at 3:30 p.m., with final presentations at 5:30 p.m., at Blackhawk Technical College, 6004 South County Highway G, Janesville.

Participants will not only get a chance to win startup funds, but also receive exposure and feedback from a panel of judges comprised of area business people and investors.
