Illinois man dead, Delavan woman injured in La Grange motorcycle crash

LA GRANGE TOWNSHIP — Randy J. Detloff, 41, of Palatine, Ill., died Tuesday from injuries in a motorcycle crash that happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Saturday near County Highway H in La Grange, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's Office news release.
A passenger on Detloff's bike, Holly N. Strever, 37, of Delavan, was not seriously injured.
Detloff was driving a 1986 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on County Highway H north of Greening Road in La Grange with Strever, when his bike left the roadway and entered the shoulder. While attempting to regain control of the bike, he over-corrected, ejecting himself and Strever.
Detloff sustained critical head injuries. He was airlifted to a Milwaukee-area hospital.
Neither Detloff nor Strever was wearing a helmet.
