— Democratic National Committee Chair and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Rep. Tammy Baldwin, who is a U.S. Senate candidate, will be the guest speakers at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s annual state convention June 8-9 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, 333 W. College Ave., Appleton.

Baldwin’s 2nd District includes the city of Whitewater and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

State convention is the state party’s biggest annual even where Democrats from all over the state join together to discuss the platform for the coming year. This year’s convention will be of particular importance given the recent historic recall elections. In addition, Democratic National Committee members will be chosen at convention.

It is pretty evident the dems have no intention of forgetting or going along with republicans. Just a quick look at their website shows they are pushing full ahead on doing nothing except smearing and obfuscating anything that comes out of the Walker administration. For example somehow in their twisted logic they link the john doe investigations to watergate of the Nixon presidency on the website. The governor will do well to understand the dems and the media are not his friends.

If this election recall was a “dry run,” as she said it was, then we have to assume Wasserman Schultz’s influence has dried up as well, because more and more people realize the only interests she serves are her own.
