Kordus to run for Walworth County register of deeds
LAKE GENEVA Robert Kordus will run for Walworth County register of deeds in the fall election, according to a press release from his campaign office. He submitted 648 nomination signatures to the Walworth County Clerk Friday.
He will be running against Sue Finster, who has worked for Walworth County for 14 years, including as a clerk in of office of register of deeds.
A lifelong resident of Wisconsin, Kordus has lived in Walworth County for the last four years. He is a senior program manager with CCG-Catalyst Consulting. Previously he was vice president of deposit operations at First Banking Center (now Talmer Bank & Trust). Prior to that, he was founder and principal of the bank advisory consulting firm, Kordus Financial Services.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Carroll University in Waukesha. He and his wife, Annette, live in Lake Geneva. His two children reside in Milwaukee.
Kordus is a member of the Walworth County Republican Party, a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and belongs to the Knights of Columbus. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Pregnancy Helpline of Walworth County.
The current county register of deeds, Connie Woolever, is retiring when her term ends in January. Woolever has held the position since 1974.
