Love INC school supply events set

— Love INC will host two back-to-school events for all families in Janesville and Beloit.

They are:

-- 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Second Congregational Church, 657 Bluff St., Beloit.

All Beloit students in need of school supplies need to call Love INC at (608) 531-1880 by Thursday, Aug. 9, but the whole community is invited to the free event.

Volunteers are needed to set up from 10 a.m. to noon, to help with family fun activities—carnival games, face painting, jump houses, hot dogs and chips—and distribute school supplies. People willing to help should call Love INC at the phone number listed above.

-- Noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Janesville Wesleyan Church, 967 Benton Ave.

Volunteers are needed for set up from 10 a.m. and noon and during the event that will feature face painting, carnival games, jump houses, give-aways, hot dogs and chips.

People willing to help can call (608) 531-1880.

Janesville families who need school supplies will receive them Friday, Aug. 24, through ECHO.

Those in need must register at the ECHO office, 65 S. High St., through Thursday, Aug. 23. Adults must provide a photo ID and utility bill

plus proof of household income.

Donations of money or school supplies can be dropped off by Thursday, Aug. 9, at Love INC, 121 W. Milwaukee St. or mailed to the organization at P.O. Box 62, Janesville, Wis. 53547.

Supplies needed include: large erasers, two-pocket colored folders, marker sets, spiral notebooks, colored pencils sets, crayons, 12-inch rulers, metal scissors, watercolor paints, wide-ruled lined paper, pencils, glue bottles, glue sticks and boxes of Kleenex. They will be placed in backpacks that already have been donated to Love INC.
