ELKHORN--Aurora Lakeland Medical Center recently purchased two state of the art cardiac monitors and donated them to two local rescue squads in the town of Delavan and the village of Williams Bay. The cardiac monitors, at a cost of $24,000 each, allow emergency personnel to acquire, analyze and transmit electrocardiographs directly to the hospital’s emergency department. This allows the Emergency Department physician to begin treating the patient well before they arrive at the hospital. With these two donations, every rescue squad in Walworth County now has the same capability.
