— Walworth County Judge John Race said Thursday he will sign an extradition order sending an Ohio man accused of murdering his mother back to Ohio.

Ryan M. Dillon, 25, of Springfield, Ohio, appeared in court Thursday shackled and wearing an orange jail jump suit. Assistant Public Defender Travis Schwantes said he had reviewed with his client extradition documents, including the warrant from Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's response.

"The paperwork appears to be in order," Schwantes said. "I do not believe we could successfully challenge his detention and, therefore, we will not challenge the extradition. I would expect Ohio authorities to be here in a day or two to take him back to Ohio."

Dillon was arrested by Delavan police May 10 after a passerby noticed a pickup truck along the road. Dillon was arrested walking nearby. The truck, belonging to Dillon's father-in-law, had been reported stolen.

Dillon is wanted in Clark County Ohio for the May 9 murder of his 59-year-old mother, Vicky Burks. Her body was found in her Springfield, Ohio, home. Blunt force to the head is listed as the cause of death.
