— The extremely dry conditions in southeastern Wisconsin have led to a number of Walworth County communities issuing burn bans that prohibit outdoor burning, including the use of consumer fireworks. The bans do allow the supervised use of charcoal or gas-fired grills for cooking food--although on its website, the village of Fontana notes that grilling on public property is prohibited.

Those municipalities that have issued burn bans at this point include:

The city of Lake Geneva; Delavan, East Troy, Geneva, Linn, Richmond, Spring Prairie, Troy townships; and the villages of Bloomfield, Fontana, Genoa City and Williams Bay.
