Former Delavan teacher turns cheesemaker in new urban creamery
MILWAUKEE Ron Henningfield, who grew up on a dairy farm in East Troy, is bringing a little bit of country to the city as a cheesemaker at the newly opened Clock Shadow Creamery, an urban cheese factory in Milwaukee.
Henningfield and his wife, Josie—also an East Troy native—are featured in an interview in OnMilwaukee.com.
Henningfield is a former high school agriculture teacher in Delavan who got his start in his mom’s kitchen and graduated to working with area cheesemakers. He may possibly be the only Wisconsin teacher who is also a licensed cheesemaker.
