School board races forming in Walworth County

— Candidates are lining up for local school board races.

In the Delavan-Darien School District, incumbent Rick Heine is not running for re-election of the member 1 seat, which represents the city of Delavan portion of the district. But Incumbents Leland Holden and Jeffery G. Scherer are running for re-election.

Roxann Petermann Kelton, Joseph G. Peyer and Luis A. Solis also have filed as candidates. The two incumbents and three challengers are running for three available seats.

Incumbent Steve Logterman is running for re-election for the member 2 seat, which represents the Delavan Township portion of the district. Larry A. Palmer also has filed as a candidate. One seat is available.

Incumbent Lori Hintz is running for re-election for the member 3 seat, which represents the Darien Township, Sugar Creek Township, Richmond Township and Walworth Township portions of the district. Daniel G. Hartogh and Sharon H. Gonzalez also have filed as candidates. One set is available.

A primary for the member 3 seat will be held Feb. 21.

In the Elkhorn Area School District, incumbents Susan Leibsle, Dagmar Knorr, and Barb Fischer are running for re-election. Matthew O'Donell also has filed as a candidate. Three seats are available.

In the Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union High School District, incumbent Patrick L. Sherman is running for re-election to represent Genoa City on the board. Incumbent John W. Druszczak is running for re-election to represent Bloomfield Township on the board. Two seats are available.

I am definitely not voting for someone who can't follow the rules and signs a petition twice. Dagmar Knorr needs to not be re-elected.
