— The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s graduate business school program ranks first in terms of enrollment, according to the Business Journal of Milwaukee’s list of largest graduate business programs in the seven-county Milwaukee area.

The list, released Feb. 10, shows UW-Whitewater with a fall 2011 enrollment figure of 920 full and part-time students—60 percent of whom are in the online program.

Besides enrollment, the list also includes information on tuition costs, credit hours needed to complete the program and areas of specialization.

At UW-Whitewater, tuition in the graduate business degree program is $600 online or $485 on campus. Both online and campus programs specialize in finance, human resource management, international business, IT management, management, marketing, operations, and supply-chain management. There is also an accounting program taught on campus. Students need 36 credit hours to complete the program.

Rounding out the top five on the list are Concordia University in Mequon, and Cardinal Stritch University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business, and Marquette University, all in Milwaukee.

Only 1 percent of students at UW-Milwaukee are enrolled in the online graduate business program online; at Marquette, there are no online students enrolled, according to the list.
