Stoughton girls remain undefeated

The Stoughton High girls basketball team remained perfect on the season thanks to a key Badger South Conference win over Milton on Saturday night.

Tessa Mersberger and Patricia Dumas scored 13 points each to lead the Vikings to a 49-41 win.

Stoughton (7-0, 3-0) trailed by two after one quarter but used a 14-5 advantage in the second quarter in building a 7-point halftime lead.

Sydney Harms had 13 points to lead Milton (3-3, 0-2), while Morgan Blumer chipped in 10.

-- Palmyra-Eagle 41, Faith Christian 22—The host Panthers raced out to an 11-4 lead after one quarter and coasted to the nonconference win Monday night.

McKayla Mehring led Palmyra-Eagle (2-6) with nine points.

McKenzie Skrede had nine points to lead Faith Christian (2-5).

-- Whitewater 48, Cambridge 24—The unbeaten Whippets doubled up on the Blue Jays in the nonconference win.

Junior forward Brooke Trewyn had 23 points to lead Whitewater (8-0), while Sarah Schumacher added 13. Monica Muth led Cambridge with 12.
