Members of the Walworth County Sheriff's Office raised $200.54--and a crop of facial hair--for the American Cancer Society during a mustache-growing contest last month.

The contest, named Operation GROW-vember, was held during November, which ACS has named Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

The agency hopes to raise awareness of the disease. One in six men will be diagnosed with this form of cancer in his lifetime.

Participating employees of the sheriff's department grew mustaches for one month, then cast votes in various categories, with each vote garnering a donation to ACS.
