Plane makes emergency landing in Mount Pleasant

— A small plane had to make an emergency landing in a bean field in southeastern Wisconsin after releasing a group of skydivers.

WDJT-TV, Channel 58 in Milwaukee, reported ) the 41-year-old pilot of the twin-engine plane was not injured after the landing at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday. There was no damage to the plane.

According to the Mount Pleasant police, the pilot was forced to land because it ran out of fuel or there was a malfunction with the fuel system.

He tried to land at the sky diving business on the west side of I-94 in Racine County, but ended up landing on the east side.

The FAA is expected to investigate.
