Plans are in the works to paint the Israel Stowell Temperance House in Delavan in September, but volunteers are needed this Saturday, Aug. 18, beginning at 8 a.m. to scrape old paint off the building and prepare the surface for painting, according to Save the Israel Stowell Temperance House's Facebook page.

The posting noted Ron McMillian is loaning his scaffolding for the project, but still needed are disposable coveralls, disposable drop cloths, scrapers, wire brushes, wood filler, masks and goggles, or gift cards to purchase these items.
