— More detections of the emerald ash borer have been spotted in Walworth County, according to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

Walworth County is already under a state of quarantine for EAB.

Several infested trees were discovered near the 200 block of Edwards Boulevard in Lake Geneva, about a mile away from this summer's earlier detection in the city.

Adult beetles were also discovered on two survey traps located at Big Foot Beach State Park.

Lastly, an infested tree was discovered in the Town of Linn, right on the border with the village of Williams B ay.

All the latest discoveries were made by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Forest Health Department.

The WDATCP offered a reminder that EAB can travel fast and far when tucked away in firewood, so help slow the spread of the insect by not moving firewood long distances.

More information about EAB and related issues can be found at the Wisconsin EAB program website.
