Update: Flags flown at half-staff all week
MADISON As a symbol of respect for the victims of the acts of violence in Oak Creek, President Barack Obama has ordered that the U.S. flag shall be flown at half-staff until sunset Fri., Aug. 10, at all government installations--including postal facilities--through the United State and all its territories and possessions.
Gov. Scott Walker ordered both U.S. and Wisconsin flags to half-staff today in mourning for those killed at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek yesterday, and in remembrance of the law enforcement and first responders who risked their lives to assist victims of the shooting.
Flags will also be flown at half-staff on the date of each victim's funeral.
