Albion, Orfordville win Home Talent games

The Albion Tigers routed McFarland, 10-1, Sunday to conclude the Home Talent League regular season.

The Tigers pounded out 11 hits, while four Albion pitchers held McFarland to three hits. Ben Everson, who relieved Matt Buhrow after four innings, gained the victory.

Marty Johnson, Josh Eastman, Aaron Laskowski and Jesse Appel had two hits apiece for Albion.

Albion hosts the Jefferson Blue Devils in a Southeast Section playoff game Sunday.

-- Orfordville 7, Evansville 1—Joe Lang allowed one run on three hits through the first six innings for the Orioles. Lang notched 12 strikeouts and issued two walks.

B.J. Cook had three hits in five at-bats, including a triple, and drove in two runs to lead Orfordville at the plate.

Orfordville travels to Fort Atkinson for a Southeast playoff game Sunday.
