Jets playoff tickets on sale Thursday

Janesville opens its first-round North American Hockey League playoff series with home games against Springfield Jr. Blues on Friday and Saturday.

Doors open at the Janesville Ice Arena at 5:45 p.m. both days.

Fans can purchase tickets Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Janesville Ice Arena is at 821 Beloit Ave. Tickets also can be reserved by calling (608) 752-5387.

Playoff tickets are priced the same as the regular season: $10 for adults, $7 for children 5 to 18 and seniors 62 and older, and free for children younger than 4.

Special discounted group packages are also available, but must be purchased in advance.

The first-round series is best-of-three-of-five.

Tickets for the end-of-the-season banquet will be available at the rink Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The banquet is Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Janesville Craig High School cafeteria. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children. Banquet tickets also will be available during the playoff games or by calling (608) 752-5387.

The banquet benefits the Jets Community Fund. The Italian House will provide a buffet dinner. WCLO Sports Director Al Fagerli will be the master of ceremonies.

Jets players will sign autographs during the banquet. Those attending can purchase a game-used Jets jersey. A live auction for both the white home and blue away Jets jerseys will be held, along with special raffle prize giveaways.
