Driver arrested for OWI in two-car crash in Walworth

A 70-year-old Illinois man was arrested after a two-car crash that happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and Six Corners Road in the town of Walworth, according to a release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.

Musical tribute to the CCC at Lake Geneva

At 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, Michigan-based author, songwriter and filmmaker Bill Jamerson will present a music and storytelling program about the Civilian Conservation Corps. The event will be at the Lake Geneva Public Library. A federal works program created by President Franklin Roosevelt in the heart of the Great Depression, the CCC provided employment to 3.5 million men.

Lake Geneva's vandalized skateboard equipment finds a new home

When Lake Geneva's new skateboard park opened August 25, the city had a buyer lined up for the 10-year-old wooden ramps and rails from the old skateboard park. The village of Twin Lakes was set to purchase the elements for $7,500 for a new skateboard park it was planning to install.

Cancer is critical issue in state’s U.S. Senate race
