USDA official to visit Mukwonago farm, discuss drought

Michael Scuse, the United States Department of Agriculture Undersecretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Service will be reviewing drought damage for farms in the area, according to Tom Oasen, county executive director of the Walworth and Waukesha Farm Service Agency.

East Troy mother gets one year sentence in death of twins

The East Troy mother who was found guilty in the drowning death of her twins Sept. 22 avoided a lengthy prison term during her sentencing hearing Tuesday and was instead sentenced to a year in the Walworth County Jail.

Small farmers struggle as drought kills vegetables

Smooth sailing: Delavan Lake hosts 70th youth regatta

Two hundred twelve sailors under 16 year came from Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin to Delavan Lake Yacht Club (DLYC) to sail in the 70th Inland Lakes Yachting Association X Class Regatta. The regatta is one of the oldest, longest and largest running youth regattas in the Midwest and United States. Some sailors are third- and fourth-generation family sailors and many are brand new.
