— Fifteen single-family home sales closed last week in the Lake Geneva area, according to Realtor Janis Hartley.

In her blog, Hartley writes that the majority of properties were selling below $200,000.

Only two of the sales were short sales and none were foreclosures. Most of the properties had been aggressively priced to sell and several sold at asking price

One property was a restored vintage lakefront cottage in Fontana listed at $1,495 million. The sellers had a constant stream of buyers the first three days it was on the market and had an accepted offer in less than seven days.

Are we so desperate for news, that we are picking up details from personal blogs, writing a story, and presenting it as news? This might be interesting, but I question if it rises to the level of news.
