BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP -- A Burlington man is dead after being struck by a car Saturday night while walking on Durand Ave. near Brown's Lake.

Richard A. Carroll, 50, was found on the south side of the road about 11 p.m., east of his home on Fischer Drive in Burlington Township. (MAP)

The Racine county Sheriff's office identified Tamara L. Westra, 20, of Genoa City as the driver of the vehicle that struck Carrol. Westra was not injured and was released after questioning.

No charges have been filed, but the case remains under investigation.
