The Violence Prevention Collaborative tackles cyberbullying Tuesday at its 11th annual Partners for Peace luncheon at Franchesco’s Ristorante, located at 2404 S. Perryville Road in Rockford.

The VPC focuses on five areas of prevention: child, elder and partner abuse and youth and community violence. Tuesday’s event features a seminar called Introduction to Cyberbullying and Internet Safety. It begins with registration at 8 a.m. and includes a continental breakfast, guest speakers and an awards luncheon.

The guest speakers will be Phil Morris and Aaron Lesmeister. Morris is the director of technology at the Kane County Regional Office of Education, while Lesmeister is a community services officer for the Rockford Police Department.

For more information or to register for Tuesday’s luncheon, contact Lytwyn at (815) 720-4261 or via e-mail at kltwyn@wchd.org. Information also is available online at the health department’s website www.wchd.org.
