ELKHORN The Elkhorn Police Department is warning residents about an e-mail scam that may actually contain a malicious virus.
The e-mails appear to be from the U.S. Postal Service, and the message says that the Post Office failed to deliver a package due to the recipient’s address being erroneous.
There is an attachment that is supposed to be a shipping label and the email instructs readers print it and take it to the Post Office.
However, the attachment contains a virus, according to a warning sent out by Elkhorn police.
