GENEVA TOWNSHIP -- Town of Geneva police are investigating a fatal crash this morning that killed a 9-year-old Lake Geneva boy.

Carter Michael Dorwin was riding to school about 7 a.m. with his mother, Nicole and brother, Bradley on County Highway H near Como Auto Salvage, according to a Town of Geneva Police Department news release.

Nicole Dorwin told police that she saw another car driving erratically coming toward them and went off to the side of the road, but the driver crossed the center line and hit her vehicle.

Carter Dorwin died at impact, according to the news release. Nicole and Bradley were treated and released.

Jeremy C. Dees, 33, was arrested at the scene and was taken to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa. Investigators are looking into whether alcohol played into the crash, according to WTMJ.

Nicole Dorwin is listed as a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Badger High School.

Highway H was closed for about four hours as police and Walworth County Sheriff's deputies investigated the scene.

I am so sorry. This little boy had so much to look forward to. The loss to his family, the community, and the world is immeasurable. I wish there was something we could have done to have protected him. Our thoughts and prayers will be with his mother and brother who apparently were able to survive the accident. He has a wonderful smile. I’m justwonderin what we could have done to have made a permanent change in the life of Jeremy Dees.

According to CCAP Jeremy Dees is a career criminal with 3 charged OWI's, battery and bail jumping to his record. I say charged OWI's because for every 1 OWI, chances are he has driven while intoxicated multiple times without getting caught. Carter would be alive today if this lowlife was where he belonged-in jail. RIP little guy, I'm sorry the adults of Wisconsin couldn't protect you from the scum.
