Walworth-Lakeland Elks to hold scholarship competition

— All Walworth County high school seniors are invited to participate in the Walworth-Lakeland Elks Constitution competition.

This is a scholarship program with cash awards of $100, $75 and $50. The U.S. Constitution test will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the Elks Lodge, 627 S. Second Street, Delavan, located across from Delbrook Golf course.

Contestants must be a US citizen and a senior in high school. This is a 40 question, multiple-choice test with an essay question to be used as a tiebreaker.

This is a timed one-hour competition. The winner of our local contest will compete at the state level on Sunday, April 11, at the Watertown Elks Lodge. The minimum prize at the state level is $300 with a total of $24,500 awarded.
