Lake Geneva mayoral candidates to debate Thursday

— Lake Geneva voters who want to hear all three candidates for mayor will have one last chance at a debate Thursday.

The primary election is Tuesday, Nov. 16.

The debate among candidates Jim Connors, Frank Marsala and Scott Storms will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the council chambers at Lake Geneva City Hall.

Sponsored by the Lake Geneva Regional News the format will allow each candidate to make opening and closing statement. In between, candidates will have a chance to answer questions and respond to the other candidates.

Regional News General Manager John Halverson will moderate the debate and, questions will be provided by Editor Lisa Seiser, as well as audience members and the Gazette.

In addition to the mayoral debate, candidates in the second district race — including incumbent Penny Roehrer, Alan Kupsik, Barbara Hartke and Tom Hartz — will open the event with short statements about themselves and their positions.
