MUKWONAGO A town of Mukwonago man is accused of being under the influence of marijuana in connection with a snowmobile crash on Dec. 23 that killed a 17-year-old girl.
Wayne A. Barkley, 22, is charged with homicide by using a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, according to online court records.
According to police reports, Barkley was racing another snowmobile on Phantom Lake in Mukwonago and swerved to avoid a car. He lost control of his snowmobile, overturning it, according to the complaint.
His passenger, Chelsey Lobenhofer, struck the vehicle and suffered a head wound and open skull fracture, the complaint says. She died Dec. 26 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
The criminal complaint says Barkley tested positive for marijuana.
Barkley posted at $25,000 cash bond following his initial appearance Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Hey, a suggested marijuana related fatality, what's that make the ratio against alcohol again? 1,000,000alcohol deaths;1 marijuana related death?-(with so far unconfirmed toxicity level...)
My condolences for this girl's family, a tragedy regardless of how you split it. =(

Calm down, DisneyWorld7. I believe MOC0428 was referring to one of our regular posters here who used the name "thekid" and is a proponent of legalizing marijuana.

I'd be interested to see if the kid has anything to say on this one.
