Sheriff's office to use eBay to unload unclaimed property

Sheriff's offices now will be able to sell unclaimed property on Internet action sites, such as eBay, after Gov. Doyle signed legislation Friday allowing the practice.
The bill, authored by State Sen. Neal Kedzie and State Rep. Tom Lothian, was in response to a requests from Walworth County Sheriff David Graves seeking new ways to dispose of older property.
