Teen drowns at Lions Beach

JANESVILLE --
A 14-year-old Beloit boy drowned Saturday in the pond at Lions Beach after he and several friends swam out past a roped-off swimming area, authorities said.
Rock County Coroner Jenifer Keach said the boy was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
