— A Mukwonago man pleaded guilty last month to shining wild animals while possessing a firearm. He was fined $354 to be paid $25 per month beginning this month.

Adam Frame, 25, of Mukwonago, and Porter, 24, of Sullivan, were charged in April with one misdemeanor count of illegal shining of deer or bears as party to a crime in connection with the November 2007 incident.

And how did the DNR catch them?

They posted a video on Facebook showing them shining a light and shooting a gun at a deer.

The case was the DNR's first-ever arrests based on a Facebook video, Conservation Warden Supervisor Rick Reed said in a news release.

An anonymous tipster pointed out the video, "Hunting - Muktown style," and gave DNR wardens Facebook account and password information so they could view the video, according to the criminal complaint filed in the case.
