— Two families kept their kids home from Whitewater High School Monday after death threats were found on a bathroom wall last week.

The families were interviewed on Fox6 today.

The racist death threats, along with a derogatory reference to African Americans, included the names of six students,

Two Whitewater brothers and their cousin were on the list, and their parents say they should have been notified right away.

The graffiti was found Thursday.

The school district says they've stepped up security and are working closely with Whitewater police.

I am a janesville resident that grew up in W.W. The city and school has always pushed things under the rug.I am sure they were just trying to do the same. I feel sorry for the boys, their family, and the law abiding citizens of whitewater.

First of all I want to know WHY the Families of these kids were NOT contacted by the "Administration" of the High School??? Why did this story JUST come out after it happened on Thursday of last week. I work at the High School and only found out about it today at work!! So even many employees did not know of this event which is completely WRONG! The embarrassment is in how this situation was handled and those people were trying to "hide" it from the public! I know who these great kids are and am appalled at what has happened. My heart goes out to you boys and your family and hope all involved will be punished to the full extent,

What an embarrassment to the whole city. I hope they catch who did this cowardly thing. So sorry to the families. Please don't let the actions of one or two people cast the shadow of such idiotic behavior on our area.
