WALWORTH COUNTY -- Variety would be the word to best describe golf courses in Walworth County. At least that's the word from a few local aficionados.
"There are so many different courses," said George Hennerley, executive vice president of the Lake Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce. "None of them will disappoint you."
Dave Silbar, a spokesman for Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, said a downturn in the economy might not hurt golf as much in this area this summer.
"Air travel is probably down a little," Silbar said. "A year ago, people were not driving because of gas prices. We draw from Milwaukee, Chicago and local, of course, so we have not seen a downturn."
